Earthquakes on the East Coast? Last Tuesday, people all over the East, including Charlotte, felt something most of them had never felt - at least here - before: an earthquake. An earthquake measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale hit Virginia and was felt north all the way up to Maine, and all the way south into Atlanta. Up to now, earthquakes aren't something we think about much in this area of the country, but our guest today says that while rare, these earthquakes are not unheard of here. We'll talk to geologist Andy Bobyarchick about how East Coast earthquakes behave differently from other quakes and whether we should expect to feel more tremors like this in the future.
