World War II Off North Carolina's Coast It's not a well-known fact that there were attacks off the coast of North Carolina during World War II. Now, stories and facts about World War II off our state's coast are being made available to a wider audience through a new book by North Carolina author Kevin Duffus. He says that many people don't know about the attacks off the North Carolina coast for reasons that include military secrecy, reluctance by those who experienced it to remember painful memories, and a lack of teaching this history in educational curriculum. Kevin Duffus joins us to talk about War Zone- World War II Off the North Carolina Coast. Guest Kevin Duffus - Author of War Zone: World War II Off the North Carolina Coast. He's been on the show to talk about his other books, The Lost Light, The Last Days of Black Beard the Pirate and Shipwrecks of the Outer Banks Kevin Duffus will speak at Park Road Books at 7pm on Tuesday, May 22.
