The annual Hummingbird Festival is back! Visit Park and Recreation nature centers Aug. 11-17 to learn all about hummingbirds. Kids, and kids at heart, can also create hummingbird artwork and enter the Hummingbird Festival Art Contest. Submissions must be original work featuring a hummingbird that is safe to hang on a wall and no larger than 9 by 12 inches. Participants ages 5 and up can submit their artwork at Reedy Creek Nature Center, Quest at Latta Nature Preserve, McDowell Nature Center, Stevens Creek Nature Center, or Eastway Regional Recreation Center's nature space.
