Picture Books Are for Grown-Ups Too: Connecting with Our Stories, Connecting with Others
Picture books aren’t just for children. Picture books are for grown-ups too!! In this fun group gathering, discover how picture books can affirm our experiences, serve as conversation starters, and foster meaningful reflection.
HOW IT WORKS: Local Author Patrice Gopo leads participants through an exciting experience of reading children's picture books to connect with other community members, share personal stories, and engage with writing. Over a shared meal, we will consider the themes in THE LITTLE HOUSE OF HOPE by Terry Catasús Jennings and illustrated by Raúl Colón. Through conversation and writing prompts, you'll have an opportunity to consider your story AND hear others share theirs too. Ultimately, these tiny tales will lead to big connection!
All participants will receive lunch PLUS a complimentary copy of THE LITTLE HOUSE OF HOPE!!
