PLAYDEAD is an unforgettable community event happening on Saturday, October 7th, 2023 at GreenLife Family Farms in Concord, NC- A 30 acre oasis right outside of Charlotte.

Get ready to groove and wag your tails together and celebrate two of life's greatest joys: dogs and the legendary Grateful Dead - all while helping raise money for K9s for Warriors.

This year, with help from Habitual Roots, a local nonprofit dedicated to mental and emotional wellness, PLAYDEAD is raising money and awareness for this incredible cause.

Determined to end veteran suicide, K9s For Warriors provides highly-trained service Dogs to military veterans suffering from PTSD, traumatic brain injury and/or other serious trauma. With the majority of dogs coming from high-kill rescue shelters, this innovative program allows the K9/Warrior team to build an unwavering bond that facilitates their collective healing and recovery.

While the mission is serious, the event is filled with excitement, generosity and great fun. There’ll be songs to fill the air from noon to 11pm featuring an eclectic blend of local and regional talents, adoptable 'dogs in a pile' in the barn from a local rescue, a shakedown street full of local vendors and their crafts, a silent auction, and plenty of food and drink options from local food trucks and breweries .

An incredible event to bring friends, family, and of course, friendly four-legged companions. Ticket prices start at $25.00. Kids 12 and under are free. Overnight camping is available. PLAYDEAD is a unique opportunity to save the lives of dogs and veterans all while having a great time.
