The Burnett Sisters learned their craft through the wonderful JAM (Junior Appalachian Musician) program, taught in small communities throughout the mountains of North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, and Kentucky. From a very early age they were part of an award-winning ensemble, Strictly Strings. Reaching adulthood, they formed their own family band that has its essential roots in Old-time music, but that borrows heavily from bluegrass and country music. Despite their youth, their many years as family members and ensemble members have honed their skills. They are musically far ahead of their time, and we will be hosting them on their way up.
