A war over lunch meat is taking place in Charlotte. Twelve Harris Teeter stores in the Charlotte area recently stopped selling products made by the Philadelphia company Dietz and Watson. Those stores now sell only products from Boar's Head. It's that company's policy to demand exclusivity in stores in which it's sold. Naturally, Dietz and Watson thinks that's a bunch of baloney. To respond, the company has taken out billboard space in Charlotte, and will conduct taste tests uptown later today. WFAE's Scott Graf spoke with Dietz and Watson CEO Louis Eni about the situation. He says this has happened to his company before.
