Larry Hyatt is proud of his family's business in west Charlotte. It's called Hyatt Coin and Gun Shop. But this week, Hyatt is having to defend his family business. According to research done by The Washington Post, Hyatt Coin and Gun ranks second in the country in the number of guns sold that end up in the possession of criminals. Two-thousand guns recovered from criminals in the past four years have been traced to the store. The guns were purchased over a period of several years. The ATF has weighed in on Hyatt's ranking on the national list. The bureau says Hyatt Coin and Gun is cooperative and a recent audit found no major problems with the way the shop sells firearms. In this segment, Hyatt speaks to WFAE's Scott Graf.
