President Trump will campaign with North Carolina Republican Senate candidate Michael Whatley in Gastonia on Wednesday night, the White House announced.

Trump is scheduled to speak at Gastonia Municipal Airport.

Earlier Wednesday, Whatley spoke at the Republican Party’s new midterm convention.

Whatley trails Democratic Senate candidate Roy Cooper in all public polls of the race.
