A network of 2,400 hospitals based in Charlotte has announced a new initiative to computerize health care records. The alliance known as Premier Incorporated has created the system in collaboration with IBM. Premier says it's the first step toward fixing a health care structure that has historically had little coordination. Ultimately, Premier says it will lead to the saving of lives and the ending of unnecessary procedures. WFAE's Scott Graf spoke with the head of Premier, Susan DeVore, to learn more.
