The day before American Idol's Charlotte auditions, these hopeful performers ready themselves outside the Time Warner Cable Arena. Video: Tanner Latham Thousands of people camped out Sunday to sign up to audition for American Idol. They circled around the block of Time Warner Cable Arena in Uptown. But by Monday morning only small handfuls of singers were registering to audition. This is the first year Charlotte has been selected as one of the seven cities holding American Idol auditions. People from all over the south clamored to Charlotte for the opportunity. WFAE's Kalie McMonagle spoke to idol-hopefuls. Those are just a few of the voices that will be auditioning for American Idol. Auditions start around 9:00 Tuesday morning and continue until they are done.
