Police Investigating Homicide In South Charlotte Involving Family Members
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department homicide detectives are investigating the death of a man in south Charlotte after a call for service came in early Friday morning.
Officers in the Independence Division responded to a domestic-related assault call in the 400 block of Mountainview Drive at 3:42 a.m. and found an unconscious man. The man, later identified as 59-year-old Joseph Henry Grosjean, was transported to Presbyterian Hospital in Matthews, where he later died.
CMPD says “all indications are that the death occurred as a result of an altercation between family members present in the home.”
Family members that were present in the home are being questioned by homicide detectives. Police say they are not searching for additional suspects.
