The North Carolina General Assembly has passed a bill that would strip power from newly-elected Democrats, including incoming Josh Stein. The bill was labeled “disaster recovery.” Three Republicans from western North Carolina voted against it. State lawmakers also voted to override the governor’s veto of House Bill 10 with big changes to vouchers and immigration enforcement.
