Two Mecklenburg County legislative candidates request recounts

Two candidates in competitive state legislative races in Mecklenburg County have requested recounts.

In State Senate District 42, Republican Stacie McGinn has asked for a recount. She trails Democrat Woodson Bradley by 204 votes. In state House District 105, Democrat Nicole Sidman has asked for a recount in her race against Republican Tricia Cotham, who is ahead by 216 votes.
