Administered by 501c3 Power is Giving, Inc., Eat Drink Disrupt (EDD) Summit is a Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC)-led, ½ day, clinical, culinary & wellness equity program that educates and empowers through teach, taste and the presentation of evidence-based, health and equity solutions.

From our food apartheid panel moderated by our Master of Ceremonies Tone X and more than 20 ounces of free vegan delectables created by our 5 BIPOC taste and hydrate station chefs, to live vegan cooking demos, ask-a-doc stations, specialty BIPOC vendors, free eco-friendly swag bags and clinical presentations on the prevention, arrest and reversal of cancer and heart disease, we’re on a mission to restore community health.

Our double and triple board-certified BIPOC physicians are: Milton Mills MD (Washington, DC), Marsha Gail Davis, MD (Atlanta, GA) and Cliff Morris MD, FACC-Cardiologist, (Richmond, VA) who is also a UNC Tarheels alumnus who played basketball alongside his legendary former teammates: Michael Jordan, Brad Daugherty and Kenny Smith.

WHY CANCER, HEART DISEASE & EQUITY?
· According to the American Cancer Society, African-Americans have the highest death rate and shortest survival rate for most cancers than any other racial or ethnic group in the U.S.

· A 2022 study published by the American Heart Association reported that Black adult women and men experience a disproportionately higher burden of cardiovascular risk factors, compared to white adults.

· A 2023 Kaiser Foundation study, revealed that health disparities are driven by social and economic inequities.

Nestled in the heart of Charlotte, NC, Home.Grown CLT blossoms as an artistic extravaganza. This festival is a tapestry woven with threads of the local creative community. It showcases and celebrates a variety of disciplines and demonstrations at Charlotte Art League this October 7th from 3-10pm.

From mesmerizing visual spectacles, to awe-inspiring performances and eclectic artisans, attendees are encouraged to explore and discover the various creatives of this city. Home.Grown CLT is more than just an event; it's a hub of innovation, collaboration, and inspiration. The festival provides a platform for artists and art lovers to come together, fostering a sense of unity that only the power of art can create.

Weaving together nearly two centuries of family history, this epic theatrical event charts the humble beginnings, outrageous successes and devastating failure of the financial institution that would ultimately bring the global economy to its knees. The Lehman Trilogy is the quintessential story of western capitalism, rendered through the lens of a single immigrant family.

The Lehman Trilogy contains some adult language and descriptions and depictions of anti-Semitism. Recommended for ages 14+.

Award winning artist Mike Farris is shares his soul through Americana, rock & blues, and gospel who has begun to make a name for himself in the last 10 years or so for his fusion of Soul and Gospel.

Mike Farris was the former front man of the mainstream rock group The Screamin’ Cheetah Wheelies before eventually performing on his own where he won many awards including a DOVE award for SHOUT! Live, an Americana Music Award for New/Emerging artist, and a Grammy for his single “Shine for the People.”
