  • The Leaders in Action Lecture Series provides the McColl School of Business and Queens University’s campus community with an opportunity to interact with and be exposed to a variety of leaders with varying leadership styles and experiences. The lecture events are hosted in an intimate setting where the audience can ask questions and hear personal and professional leadership experiences from our guests.

  • Join the wild ones of The Hot Sauce Truck at Divine Barrel Brewing on Friday, 10/13/23, starting at 6pm for The Hot Sauce Truck Challenge! It’s just $5 to participate, and you’ll have to run the gauntlet of 10 hot sauce samples, with each one incrementally increasing in heat. If you can make it through the 10 samples unscathed then you’ll win awesome prizes! All proceeds from this amazingly fun event will be donated to our friends at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Charlotte, so come feel the heat for a good cause!
  • Celebrate National Beer Day at Charlotte's signature beer festival, coming April 6th!

  • Glitz and glam will be on view at Wednesday Night LIve at Mint Museum Uptown. In conjunction with The Mint Museum's exhibition ANNIE LEIBOVITZ / WORK, enjoy a night of dancing a la Studio 54, plus pop-up runway fashion shows featuring looks from local designers that highlight vintage fashion from the 1970s to the 1990s paired with live music by DJ Smitty, Buff Faye, and Dallas Austin providing music specific to each era.

  • Carolina Pro Musica presents the 6th songwriting workshop at the Gaston County Public Library, Saturday March 22, 2025 at 11:00 AM. This event is for those who write lyrics or music and want assistance with their ideas. Bring started projects to work on if you have them. A piano will be available or bring your own instrument such as a guitar. The workshop is free to the public.

  • Join preservice teachers, K-8 classroom and nonformal educators as we explore activities in the Project Learning Tree Explore Your Environment K-8 Activity Guide. Every participant will leave the workshop with a copy of this guide that includes 50 hands-on, multidisciplinary activities to connect children to nature and increase young people’s awareness and knowledge about their environment. The activities in this resource are supported by a robust Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) correlation guide, building durable STEM Skills, and differentiated instruction. This workshop has a $20 registration fee. Participants must register by Friday, June 6 at 5 p.m.

  • This therapist-led group is designed for individuals navigating the emotional challenges that can follow childbirth, including symptoms of postpartum depression (PPD) and postpartum anxiety (PPA). The group provides a supportive space to share experiences, develop coping strategies, and reduce isolation through connection with others facing similar struggles.

    Who This Group Is For:

    Mothers (or birthing parents) within 6 months postpartum.

    Structure & Approach:

    - Weekly 90-minute sessions (group runs for 10 weeks)
    - Closed group format
    - Facilitated by a licensed mental health professional
    - Blend of psychoeducation, group discussion, and skills practice
    - Optional journaling or between-session reflection prompts

  • French artist Marielle Plaisir joins Jen Sudul Edwards, PhD, chief curator and curator of Contemporary Art at The Mint Museum for a conversation about her multidisciplinary artistic practice, including painting, installation, tapestry, fashion, and public art.

    The conversation will examine themes of beauty, humanity, identity, and storytelling across mediums. Plaisir will discuss how painting informs her broader creative vision and how different materials allow her to expand and deepen her narrative practice.

    The evening will include a moderated conversation followed by audience Q&A.
