Before joining NHPR in February of 2015, Jason interned with a variety of public radio organizations including StoryCorps, Transom.org, and WBHM in Birmingham, Alabama. He graduated from Bennington College with a degree in philosophy and sound design.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from Howard University. Longtime NPR correspondent Frank Stasio was named permanent host of The State of Things in June 2006 . A native of Buffalo, Frank has been in radio since the age of 19. He began his public radio career at WOI in Ames, Iowa, where he was a magazine show anchor and the station's News Director.

Kate Payne is an Iowa City-based reporter for Iowa Public Radio. Before she came to the Hawkeye State she was a reporter and fill-in host for WFSU, the NPR member station in Tallahassee, Florida. Kate has won awards for her political and feature reporting and her sound editing.

Ms. LoCascio is the CEO of McLaughlin Young Group, a human capital consulting firm specializing in employee assistance programs, leadership development, and change management. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Richmond. She is a graduate of Leadership Charlotte and Leadership North Carolina. Ms. LoCascio is the Vice Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Delta Dental of North Carolina, and serves on the Board of Directors of WFAE 90.7 and Women Executives. She is an active member of the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Advisors. Ms. LoCascio is the recipient of Charlotte Business Journal’s Women in Business Award and 40 Under 40 Award, and The Mecklenburg Times named her one of Charlotte’s 50 Most Influential Women.

Charles Johnson is an experienced litigator and counselor who concentrates his practice in complex employment and labor and commercial disputes. He has represented companies in a wide variety of employment and commercial cases in federal and state courts, on appeal and before administrative agencies such as the U.S. Department of Labor. He also regularly counsels employers on labor and employment issues.

Frank James joined NPR News in April 2009 to launch the blog, "The Two-Way," with co-blogger Mark Memmott.

Linton Weeks joined NPR in the summer of 2008, as its national correspondent for Digital News. He immediately hit the campaign trail, covering the Democratic and Republican National Conventions; fact-checking the debates; and exploring the candidates, the issues and the electorate.

Greg Collard served as news director from 2008 to 2023. He served as WFAE's executive editor in 2023. He came to WFAE from West Virginia Public Broadcasting. In his eight years there, Greg had roles as a reporter, editor and producer. He was the executive producer of a television news magazine and news director for radio and television when he decided to head south for Charlotte.

Milo Miles is Fresh Air's world-music and American-roots music critic. He is a former music editor of The Boston Phoenix.
