Charlotte FC climbs to fifth with comeback win over D.C. United

Charlotte FC moved up one spot in Major League Soccer's Eastern Conference standings with a home victory over D.C. United on Saturday night.

The Crown fell behind 1-0 before rallying for a 3-1 win, earning three points and moving from sixth place to fifth in the conference.

Coach Dean Smith said after the match that Charlotte FC has begun to show more consistency.

"We've started to show some consistency now," Smith said. "I think that's eight league games now, five wins, two draws and one loss. So there's a consistency about us at the moment. Yes, there's loads of things that we can get better at."

Charlotte FC visits Atlanta United on Saturday night.
