A voluntary withdrawal of Vioxx from the market is the latest in a string of safety issues for the drug market. Dr. Alistair Wood, of the Vanderbilt School of Medicine, says the serious dangers Vioxx posed could have been found before millions began taking the drug. Wood speaks with NPR's Renee Montagne.
