With all the attention focused on former President Bill Clinton's memoir and media reflections on his time in office, other aspects of his life have received less notice. The Harlem Small Business Initiative is a good example. In its first round, this Clinton-inspired project assisted 10 Harlem businesses -- some of them start-ups, and some long-term enterprises. Recently, business and academic leaders involved in the effort joined Clinton in Harlem to announce plans to expand the initiative to other parts of the city, and eventually to other parts of the country.
