Jazz drummer Harvey Mason has played with a constellation of musical stars over the years: Miles Davis, Aretha Franklin, Quincy Jones, Barry Manilow, Ray Charles, Freddie Hubbard -- even Christina Aguilara. He has performed on literally thousands of recordings over the course of his career.

But it's been years since Mason has put out his own collection of tunes. He returns to center stage with his latest CD, With All My Heart.

Mason has quite a music pedigree -- he attended the famous Berklee School of Music and graduated from the New England Conservatory. He followed the footsteps of great jazz drummers such as Billy Higgins, Art Blakely, Elvin Jones and Tony Williams. Mason also played with the legendary Duke Ellington in the 1960s.

For With All My Heart, Mason keeps it simple -- each of the CD's 11 tracks is played by Mason and just two other musicians. Rounding out the trios are some of the biggest names in jazz music: Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter, Kenny Barron, Cedar Walton and Chick Corea.
