Getting beyond their gorgeous hair and rockstar names, Seattle-based band The Blakes sound like the swagger of early '60s Brit-rock and the sneer of early punk rock. In some ways, it sounds like an updated version of Jesus and the Mary Chain, except with the sterling drumming capabilities of Bob Husack.
