Josh Turner On Mountain Stage

Josh Turner has been on the fast track to country music stardom since he made his debut on the Grand Ole Opry in 2001. The crowd at the mecca of country music rewarded Turner with multiple standing ovations after he performed his breakout hit "Long Black Train." In October 2007, Turner became the youngest member of the Grand Ole Opry when he was formally inducted by Vince Gill.

With a distinct bass voice, the South Carolina native has earned multi-platinum status at a time when CD sales are decidedly down. His latest CD, Everything Is Fine, includes a duet with country music mainstay Trisha Yearwood and another tune with soul/R&B singer Anthony Hamilton, who wrote the song with Turner's voice in mind.

A live version of Turner's most recent hit single, "Firecracker," is included here. Turner and his band made a special effort to perform on Mountain Stage, driving up from a previous night's gig at the Opry and stopping in West Virginia en route to New York for a bright-and-early performance on The Today Show.
