Mooresville Commissioners Want Mayor Gone

Mooresville's city commissioners want Mayor Chris Montgomery to resign. They voted 6-0 Monday night asking him to do so. DavidsonNews.net reports here on the resolution. Click here to read the Charlotte Observer's report. Montgomery has come under fire for seeking a job with the developer of Langtree at the Lake while the company had business before the town. There were also "embarrassing revelations that he had used the town e-mail system to exchange intimate e-mails with a woman who was not his wife," DavidsonNews.net reports. Montgomery says he will finish out his term, but won't seek re-election in 2012.
