The Charlotte Hornets are moving on to the semifinals of the NBA Summer League after a fourth straight win last night. They downed the previously unbeaten San Antonio Spurs 106-81. Top draft pick Kon Knueppel led the way with 19 points, six assists and five rebounds. Charlotte will take on the NBA champion Oklahoma City Thunder Saturday at 6pm.

His first job after graduating from Appalachian State University was news reporter at The Daily Independent in Kannapolis. Along the way he’s covered everything from murder trials and a national political convention to high school sports and minor league baseball.
