Charlotte has hired a new city attorney. Andrea Leslie-Fite is currently Guilford County’s attorney, and previously served as senior assistant city attorney for Charlotte. City Council voted unanimously to hire Leslie-Fite. She replaces interim city attorney Anthony Fox. The city attorney is one of three positions that city council directly hires or fires. Leslie-Fite starts Nov. 3.
