The Flat Tax Movement


The Flat Tax Movement Republican candidates vying for to win the GOP primary to be the presidential candidate are appealing to voters with proposals for job growth, strong defense and traditional values. Another set of proposals is gaining traction too and that is tax reform in the form of a flat tax. Herman Cain first caught the public's attention with his 9-9-9 plan. Rick Perry jumped into the Flat Tax conversation soon after and now most of the major candidates have some form of a flat or "flatter" tax system in mind. We'll talk with Dr. Joseph Ellis, a Wingate University Political Science professor who has been studying and writing about the flat tax debate for years.
