Kaleidoscope: Skating For Cancer Awareness There's an interesting annual effort to encourage cancer survivors and their loved ones to celebrate cancer survivorship every day, and this year it's coming to Charlotte. Kaleidoscope is a campaign to raise awareness and bring forward messages of survivorship. As part of the awareness campaign, organizers annually present 'Kaleidoscope on Ice,' with world renowned skaters and musicians who bring together their talent, and stories of family members - or often their own - cancer survivor stories. This year, the nationally televised event takes place in the Queen City. So, we'll meet some skaters you may have heard of, former Olympians Scott Hamilton and Paul Wylie, along with the president of the Levine Cancer Center, to talk about how skating and music fit together to raise awareness for cancer. Guests Dr. Derek Raghavan - President of the Levine Cancer Center Paul Wylie - Charlottean and former Olympian (silver). His parents are both cancer survivors. Scott Hamilton - Former Olympic Gold Medalist and cancer survivor 'Kaleidoscope on Ice' is Friday, Nov. 18th at Bojangles Coliseum. Add and read comments
