President Eisenhower and Nuclear

vspace=4 align=right

President Eisenhower and Nuclear These days, when we talk nuclear, it's generally in the context of nuclear power and safety, and our thoughts might go first to our area nuclear power plants or the recent disaster in Japan. But just a generation or two ago, in Dwight D. Eisenhower's day, the word "nuclear" brought to mind weapons... war... bombs. In a new book by JCSU professor Brian Jones, President Eisenhower's special attention to "nuclear" is outlined, and the assertion is made that the Eisenhower administration laid the groundwork for how we use nuclear today. We'll hear about it. Guest Dr. Brian Madison Jones - Assistant Professor of History at Johnson C. Smith University and Author of Abolishing the Taboo: Dwight D. Eisenhower and American Nuclear Doctrine, 1945-1961 Add and read comments
