American composer Morten Lauridsen's moving, ethereal Lux Aeterna, a meditation on death and the promise of life beyond, as well as Bach’s funeral Cantata 106, will be performed by Queens choirs in the splendid Belk Chapel. This Arts At Queens concert is presented by the Department of Art, Design and Music. We regret to announce that the Bach Akademie Charlotte will not be joining us for this performance due to a family emergency. We intend on rescheduling the collaborative concert with them at a later date. Both pieces of the planned program will be performed, conducted by Justin Smith, and accompanied by Yoon Sun Song.
