New Century Saxophone Quartet returns to Arts at the Abbey
The New Century Saxophone Quartet comes to Arts at the Abbey with “Music - old and new”. From their founding in Winston-Salem, NC they were the first ensemble to win the concert Artist Guild competition in New York City in 1992. The quartet has toured throughout the US and the World. Their eclectic program features music of Bach, Dvorak and Shostakovich and Nagao (Japan), Zarvos (Brazil), Harvey (England) and Kolb (US). The ensemble has appeared many times on Arts at the Abbey. Many works they perform are commissions.
Admission is free. Donations will be gladly accepted.
