This month’s meeting will be focusing on Oral Heath and Cancer treatment with Anita S. H. Patel, DMD - Atrium Health. Dr. Patel earned her DMD degree from the University of Pennsylvania – School of Dental Medicine in 1995. She completed her General Practice Residency at Rutgers School of Biomedical and Health Sciences 1995-1997 (formerly known as UMDNJ-NJDS). She completed a fellowship in Dental Education for the Care of the Disabled at the University of Washington in 1997. She was a part-time faculty and staff dentist at Rutgers and at Jersey Shore Medical Center from 1997-2000. She also served as the Program Director of the General Practice Residency ang Hospital Dentistry programs from 2000 to 2007. Her clinical interests include dental management of the intellectually disabled, medically complex and oncological patients.
