The Rock Hill Music Club presents the Palmetto Voices Spiritual Ensemble on August 16 at 6:30 p.m. at Oakland Avenue Presbyterian Church. Ticket prices are $25 and benefit York County High School Seniors entering music education or performance and Winthrop University Music Scholarships. The PVSE is under the direction of Dr. Sonja Sepulveda and the ensemble includes many Winthrop graduates that have sung with Opera Carolina, Inspirar, Caritas, York Co Choral Society, Royal Voices, Spoleto, European Choirs and Soloists, Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center Opera, Choir and Choral directors. The mission of the PVSE is to sustain both the legacy and vision of the Concert Spiritual. The program will feature African music, Negro Spirituals and Gospel, all central parts of this uniquie American art form. Please join us for an interactive concert with audience participation. The concert includes a pre-concert talk by conductor and Artistic Director, Dr. Sonja Sepulveda
