A North Carolina music legend turned 90 this week. Fiddler Joe Thompson is widely recognized as being the last living link to a time when African American String Bands played for square dances nearly every weekend. His music took him around the world, but now he mostly plays at home in Orange County with friends and neigbors. David Brower of WUNC public radio dropped by his house in Mebane, between Greensboro and Durham.
