Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools standardized test scores were down in most areas this past school year. The district released the results today. High schools saw drops in all but one subject, with the steepest declines in Algebra I and II. Elementary and middle schools saw a few gains in math and science, but overall scores were slightly down. Interim Superintendent Hugh Hattabaugh says he's disappointed the district didn't make more progress this year. CMS's graduation rate did improve this past year. It went from 69.9 percent to 72.2 percent.
