So long, blue-and-green. Hello, red-and-yellow. The transition from Wachovia to Wells Fargo will be completed this weekend. The transition has already occurred in most other markets. It's a process that began in the fall of 2008, when the banking industry came unraveled. The disappearance of the "Wachovia" name marks the end of an era in North Carolina history that dates to the 18th century. For more on the history of that name, WFAE's Mark Rumsey spoke to Dan Morrill, director of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Historic Landmarks Commission.
