What’s in a name? More specifically, what’s in a dog name? Well, we know the answer – at least in Mecklenburg County, thanks to Jeremy Markovich of NBC Charlotte. He analyzed the names of every single dog licensed by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Animal Control – 109,000 in all. From that list, he was able to determine the most popular dog names, and created a searchable list of more than 17,000 different names. Jeremy spoke to WFAE's Kevin Kniestedt about his findings:
