Suspect Named In Hit-And-Run Death Of 6-Year-Old
Charlotte Mecklenburg police have an arrest warrant for a man they believe is responsible for the hit and run accident that killed a 6-year-old boy on Sunday.
Police say their suspect is 32-year-old Juan Antonio Quintanilla-Garza. Police say they’ve been in contact with him, but it appears they don’t know where he is. A press release says he’s believed to be out-of-state, and asks anyone with information on his whereabouts to call Crime Stoppers. He’s charged with felony hit-and-run.
The victim is Anthony Santos Castellon-Rivera. He was killed Sunday afternoon when struck by a white work van while crossing Eastway Drive with his family. Witnesses said the driver stopped, got out of the vehicle, then got back in and drove away.
