Sheriff's investigators in Union County are looking for clues to lead them to a suspect in the stabbing of a teenager as he was jogging on a walking trail in a subdivision.
The Union County Sheriff's Office said the boy was running Thursday evening in the Marvin community just before sunset when an unknown male came from behind and stabbed him in the back. The boy — who was not identified by the sheriff's office — went to a neighbor's house for help and was in stable condition Friday at a local hospital.
In a Facebook news release, the sheriff describes the suspect as a male in his late teens. The sheriff's office is asking residents for any surveillance camera video they may have showing the possible suspect.
