Bob August
Weekend HostBob August, a New Jersey native, is no stranger to public media. After graduating from Emerson College in Boston, he returned to the North Jersey/New York metro area where he began his career as a traffic reporter for various radio stations, including NPR affiliate WNYC — and later WPLN, after moving to Nashville in the mid '90s. He could additionally be heard from time to time as a fund drive announcer for Detroit Public Television.
Bob has been with WFAE since 2010. You can catch him most Saturdays between 1 p.m. and 8 p.m., as local host for a number of NPR programs including All Things Considered and Wait Wait Don't Tell Me.
