Candice Johnson

In her role, Candice Johnson steers the organization’s fundraising vision, deepens relationships with key donors, and provides strategic leadership for the gift and membership team. She oversees donor acquisition, retention, and stewardship strategies; develops opportunities to grow individual and major giving; and leads the planning and execution of comprehensive fundraising campaigns that advance the organization’s mission and long-term sustainability.

Johnson has built her career in the nonprofit sector, serving organizations throughout the Charlotte area for more than 20 years. Her experience spans fundraising and development, donor cultivation and stewardship, comprehensive campaign management, grant portfolio management, strategic partnerships, and community engagement. Throughout her career, she has focused on building relationships that connect donors, institutions, and communities with opportunities to create meaningful and lasting impact.

Candice is actively involved in several service organizations and is committed to community leadership and service. She holds degrees from Livingstone College, North Carolina Central University, and Queens University of Charlotte.
