Ceci Armour

As WFAE's Major Gifts Officer, Cecilia Armour leads the stewardship of the station's Major Donor Portfolio, building the individual relationships that sustain WFAE's local journalism. Cecilia also directs the station's legacy giving program, working alongside her colleagues in membership, corporate development, and communications teams to connect donors to the reporting their support makes possible.

A graduate of the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland, where she earned a Master of Science in Educational Leadership, Cecilia spent her earlier career as a teacher and school principal in Glasgow Scotland, and here in Charlotte. She moved from Scotland to Charlotte in 2005 with her two daughters, and she brings major gifts the same conviction that carried her through her years in schools: that strong communities are built one relationship at a time.
