Vice President JD Vance will visit Concord on Wednesday to deliver remarks on the Trump administration's tax cuts and support for state and local law enforcement.
The White House said Vance's visit comes in the wake of last month's fatal stabbing of Iryna Zarutska on Charlotte's light rail, and incident that had sparked national debate about crime and public safety.
Vance is scheduled to speak Sept. 24, but no further details about his appearance have been released.
