Statesville has joined a growing list of communities pausing new data center construction. WJZY reports the Statesville city council unanimously approved a six month moratorium Monday night. Other local municipalities, including Charlotte and Kings Mountain have implemented moratoriums to give leaders time to research the potential impacts the controversial projects could have on the community.
