Fracking appears to be coming to North Carolina.  The state is set to begin issuing permits in the spring for this controversial practice of cracking open rocks to extract oil and natural gas.  Some want the practice banned until proven safe, other see fracking as the path to energy independence.  Russell Gold, Senior Energy Reporter from The Wall Street Journal has written a book on the topic and joins us to provide his perspective.
