The national economy appears strong, so does Charlotte’s. That has not erased all fears about what the future may bring. Mike hears from an economist and two business reporters to get their thoughts and give an update on where our economy stands.
The national economy is doing well. Annual GDP growth was hovering around three percent in the first quarter. Unemployment is holding steady at near 50-year lows.
The stock market is making money for investors. And the Charlotte economy is also healthy. But some are less than optimistic about the future, even as the Fed is poised to cut interest rates again. An economist and two business reporters share their thoughts and predictions this morning on Charlotte Talks.
