Tuesday, September 17th, 2019

The Ghosts of Eden Park tells the true story of the country’s most successful bootlegger during the time of prohibition, and the women who contributed to his demise. Author Karen Abbott joins guest host Erik Spanberg to tell the story.

On the next Charlotte Talks...

Karen Abbott’s new book The Ghosts of Eden Park is a true story about the country’s most successful bootlegger, living a lavish lifestyle that ended in murder.

Abbott is an author and historian who has made a career out of turning real historical events into stories that read like thriller novels.

Abbott is headed to Charlotte this fall, but before that visit, guest host Erik Spanberg will sit down to talk with her about her knack for writing about interesting women in history on Charlotte Talks.

Guest:

Karen Abbott, author of The Ghosts of Eden Park

Event:

Karen Abbott will speak at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Library Foundation's Verse and Vino Event in November. Info here.
