NPR's Fred Child welcomes the Aspen Ensemble to the stage at the Aspen Music Festival.
The ensemble consists of five faculty members at the Aspen School: pianist Rita Sloan, flutist Nadine Asin, violinist David Perry, Victoria Chang and cellist Michael Mermagen.
Members of the ensemble discuss how they work together and then perform the Flute Trio H. 300 (Trio for Flute, Cello and Piano) by Czech composer Bohuslav Martinu (1890-1959).
