Gabriela Montero loves it when listeners sing her a tune that she can improvise around, right on the spot. This time, the song is the well known "You Are My Sunshine."
It's sung by listener Alice Oldfather from Albany, New York. She has two young children, and sings the song to them each night as she puts them to bed. It's the same song Oldfather's parents sang to her when she was a kid. You can hear the rays of sunlight peaking through Montero's light-hearted rendition.
