Watch Sylvan Esso Dismantle Their Song, 'H.S.K.T.' Live

In a new video premiered on Wired, Sylvan Esso make musical creation appear effortless. The duo returned to the Moog Sound Lab to re-imagine "H.S.K.T." from 2014's Sylvan Esso.

From the ground up, Sylvan Esso (Nick Sanborn and Amelia Meath) rebuild "H.S.K.T" into a pulsing tune thick with synth, using a bunch of gear found in the Moog Lab. All that remains of the original recording is a loop of Meath singing "wanna get," bobbing under the undulating percussive track created by Sanborn.

Meath's bright, playful vocals are never overwhelmed by the new heavier sounds. There's even more in this version of "H.S.K.T" to bob your head to than there was in the original.
